Rana Amirtahmasebi is an Iranian ceramicist based in Brooklyn. Rana uses clay as a canvas to silkscreen, stencil, draw, and stamp. A good segment of her creation process happens outside the studio and on the computer, where she designs patterns, maps, and Persian calligraphic texts. She then applies these patterns to her functional pieces, which she makes using slab building, slip casting, and occasionally wheel throwing. Follow herĀ on instagram at ceramicsbyrana.
